It's Almost Here!

Hello! My name is Nimit and I'm a designer. I’m curious about a lot of things we’re surrounded with - from pop culture and poetry, to movies and math, and everything in between. I believe that these things don’t exist in isolation and it’s exploring these intersections that excite me. So this site is like a peek into my diary of random explorations.

To that effect, there will be two main sections for the site - Nerdventures and Desi Poetry.

Nerdventures

This section of the site deals with me taking one idea and fully delving into it. I use design and technology to explore these ideas to make them as engaging as I can. Sometimes I'll chase simple questions (what music makes people happy?) and delve as deep as I can, or sometimes I'll pick up fun projects (can I design a map?), or sometimes it's just me wanting to share hobbies I have, so more people can get into them!

Desi Poetry

I've grown up listening to some of the most beautiful languages in the world, and this section is my attempt to bring them to you. I don't think I can fully encapsulate the beauty the language holds but I can give you a glimpse and make you curious enough. The goal is to translate desi songs (to start with) into English poetry and give you small glimpses into the language itself and the culture of it all.
